Farm Updates
At Peas on Earth, we have initiated several exciting new updates to our farm and operations!
New Website: Online Shopping Available
Welcome to our new website! The biggest change is that the site now supports online shopping – you can choose and purchase your produce online before your pickup. The Shop menu option will be updated to reflect new produce items as they are harvested, so keep your eye out for new page listings! In addition to our refreshed website, we have also created an instagram page. Follow us at @peas.on.earth.organic to see what’s happening in the fields and at the markets!
Farm Pick-Up Service
Due to the changes surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, we understand that some of our customers may want to minimize time spent in the public. Therefore, we have started an online ordering for farm pick-up service!
If you are interested in placing an order of $20 or more, please select your items in the Shop page and prepay with one of the options provided. Farm pickup occurs on Thursdays from 4:00PM-6:00PM of each week, so please have your order selected and prepaid for by Wednesdays at noon. We are located at 24527 Sturgeon Road, Sturgeon County AB T8T 1S2.
CSA Farm Box
The CSA Farm Box Subscription begins July 16th! Order soon so that you can receive 16 weekly assortments of fresh produce. Visit our Farm Box page for more info.
Where We Sell: Now at Bountiful but no longer at Callingwood
As previously mentioned, we are now offering online shopping! Visit the Shop page to order online for farm pickup.
Regarding market locations, we will be at three farmers’ markets this year. As of June 13th 2020, Peas on Earth will be a vendor at the Bountiful Farmers’ Market (Fridays-Sundays, indoor, year round)! We are the first and only organic produce vendor at this new market, and we hope that this allows more folks around the city access local, organic veggies. We are also at the Strathcona Farmers’ Market (Saturdays, indoor, year round) and the St. Albert Farmers’ Market (Saturdays, outdoor, June 6 – October 12). Please note that each market is enforcing different protocols regarding COVID-19 safety, so please check their individual websites for more details. Importantly, we will not be at Callingwood Farmers’ Market this year, as we have decided to shift our Sunday business to the Bountiful Farmers’ Market instead. We apologize if this causes any inconvenience for you, and we hope that you’ll be able to order online or visit us at one of our other locations.
Apart from online and at the markets, you’ll find our produce at Grapevine Deli, Amaranth Whole Foods Market and Blush Lane. Our produce is also part of the Organic Box and SPUD delivery services. For more details on any of our vendor locations, please visit the Where We Sell menu option.

~Seasonal update~
Welcome to spring! It’s lovely to see the sun shining, the snow melting, and new life beginning to appear. We’ve recently started seeding, and we’re quickly getting ready for a new farming season to begin. Despite the current uncertainties, we’re planning to go through with farmwork as normally as we can, in hopes that some regularity will be back by the summertime. We hope that you are all enjoying the new spring and staying healthy, whatever your situation is.
We are at the Strathcona Farmers’ Market on Saturdays’, all year round. The market is still open during this time, and they are enforcing physical distancing by allowing only a certain number of shoppers in at once. For more updates regarding COVID-19 related accommodations, please visit https://osfm.ca/news-events/covid-19-update.
In the summers, we are also at the St. Albert Farmers’ Market (Saturday) and the Callingwood Farmers’ Market (Sunday). To find out more information about the locations where we sell, check out the “Where We Sell” tab. For an updated portfolio of the produce we have each week, check out the ‘Produce’ tab!
As you might have already noticed, we have updated our website! It is now mobile friendly so you can check us out on all your devices! Another cool feature of this website is that you’ll be able to see which products we have each week, so if you’re wanting a specific veggie, you can check if we have it that specific week! We’re hoping that our new website will make you feel more connected to us, and if you have any feedback, feel free to email us at contact@peasonearth.ca.
Once again, thank you for all your support, and we hope to see you soon!
